Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Design, validate, implement, and maintain reports from multiple sources using SQL and Crystal Reports to support organizational and external reporting.
  • Optimize Epic reporting tools like Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer, and Radar dashboards and promote adoption.
  • Test and validate key reports for accuracy before publishing, including during EMR upgrades.
  • Analyze data and reports for accuracy and appropriate data source usage.
  • Use visualization tools to present data for data-driven decision making and improvement.
  • Coordinate external reporting of data at local, state, and national levels with timely submittals.
  • Provide data and analysis for organizational quality initiatives.
  • Serve as primary resource for data requests and support Epic reporting tools issues.
  • Act as a consultant on report writing and analytics for operational areas.
  • Collaborate with Financial Reporting Analysts as needed.
  • Work with Epic Support and organizational teams to enable workflow changes for accurate reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Join our team committed to the highest quality health care!JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:The Data Report Analyst is responsible for optimizing the use of analytic tools and developing reports from various sources to support organizational needs and to meet external reporting requirements. This position is responsible to test and/or validate reports for accuracy and support annual UDS submittal. This role will act as the primary resource to provide operational reporting from the Epic system. Skills required will include custom SQL and Crystal Reporting as well as Power BI design and support to effectively meet the needs of this area.

  1. Design, validate, implement, and maintain reports from multiple sources, including the EMR, to support organizational and external reporting requirements using custom SQL, Crystal Reports and sFTP.
  2. Optimize use of existing Epic reporting tools, such as Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer, and Radar dashboards, and facilitate adoption of these tools across the organization.
  3. Test and validate key reports to ensure accuracy prior to publishing, including those impacted by new EMR releases.
  4. Analyze data and reports that have been developed by themself or by others in the organization to ensure accuracy as well as appropriate data source usage.
  5. Use statistical and data visualization tools to analyze and display data in a meaningful way to facilitate data driven decision making and continuous improvement.
  6. Coordinate external reporting of organizational data at a local, state, and national level ensuring accurate data with a timely submittal.
  7. Provide data and analysis for organizational quality initiatives.
  8. Serve as primary resource for data requests across the organization, as well as primary support to address any issues with Epic reporting tools.
  9. Act as consultant to operational areas on report writing technical expertise and/or analytics.
  10. Work in partnership as required with the Financial Reporting Analysts.
  11. Collaborate with Epic Support Analysts and organizational resources to facilitate workflow changes needed to facilitate accurate reporting.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
  2. Experience within an organization utilizing hosted EPIC or a top 5 EMR solution required.
  3. At least 2 years of related experience, with 4 or more preferred.
  4. Effective ability to understand requirements in whole and in detail.
  5. Proficient in the use of data analysis tools (e.g.: run charts, control charts) and techniques, including statistical analysis.
  6. Strong technical problem-solving skills to investigate, debug and effectively report issues.
  7. Expert-level Excel user.
  8. Experience with:
  • Relational databases, including Clarity
  • Data mining in various tools
  • Programming languages, including SQL
  1. Experience in health data analysis, business analysis, technical documentation, and data management in a healthcare-related field.
  2. Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially in communicating technical information. Capable of preparing and delivering data summaries.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills that can be used to effectively collaborate on work with others. Ability to interact well with individuals, both internally and externally, and effectively communicate technical or statistical information and specifications.
  4. Self-driven with the ability to work independently. Demonstrates a results-orientation, determination, ownership of responsibility, reliability, and accountability, and yet functions as a team member and follows direction as part of a team under general supervision.
  5. Experience working with healthcare data is preferred.
  6. Proficient in medical terminology and knowledge of coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, etc).
  7. Willingness and ability to adapt to change, including advances in technology.
  8. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle tasks independently.
  9. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  10. Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
