Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced ERP data migration specialist to lead data mapping, cleansing, and validation for S/4HANA deployments. You will collaborate with Data SMEs across business units to ensure data integrity and standardized reporting.

The role requires deep SAP knowledge (MM/SD/FI-CO), strong SQL skills, and experience with data profiling and migration tools. US work authorization is required, and the position emphasizes data governance and process improvement.

Qualifications

• University degree in a related field with 10+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
• Strong understanding of SAP MM, SD, or FI/CO modules.
• Experience with SAP data structures and ERP migration.
• Experience with ABAP programming and debugging is preferred.
• Familiarity with Syniti or related migration tools.

Responsibilities

• Support ERP data migration and harmonization using BU systems, data structures, and processes.
• Collaborate with DT Data SMEs and BU Functional Data SMEs on data mapping, cleansing, and validation.
• Perform data cleansing activities with BU Functional Data SMEs and BU Data leads according to project timelines.
• Support data harmonization across the business unit for standardized reporting and analytics.
• Identify and resolve data-related issues during extraction, cleansing, and migration.
• Provide feedback on data management, system integration, and data governance processes.
• Validate that business rules from legacy data are translated into the S/4 system.
• Identify and resolve defects while ensuring data quality standards are met.

Job description

• Support ERP data migration and harmonization initiatives using expertise in business-unit systems, data structures, and operational processes
• Collaborate with DT Data SMEs and BU Functional Data SMEs on data mapping, cleansing, and validation
• Perform data cleansing activities with BU Functional Data SMEs and BU Data leads according to project timelines
• Support data harmonization across the business unit for standardized reporting and analytics
• Identify and resolve data-related issues during extraction, cleansing, and migration
• Provide feedback on process improvements related to data management, system integration, and data governance
• Validate that business rules applied to legacy data are correctly translated into the new S/4 system
• Identify and resolve defects while ensuring data quality standards are met
• Work with BU DT Data SME and Data Migration teams on data requirements, mapping, and quality expectations
• Support ongoing data accuracy and integrity in the S/4 system after migration
• Create data-cleansing metrics and reports and drive business-level data quality improvements for upcoming S/4 migrations

Requirements

• University Degree and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
• Strong understanding of SAP MM, SD, or FI/CO modules
• Strong understanding of SAP data structures, relationships, and source tables involved in ERP migration
• SAP deployment experience with understanding of object relationships and ability to anticipate and address potential issues early
• Preferred: experience with SQL, including Oracle, Snowflake, or SQL Server
• Preferred: experience with ABAP programming and debugging
• Preferred: familiarity with Syniti or related data profiling and migration tools
• Security clearance is not required
