Job Description

CoreLogic is enhancing our research department and is seeking a skilled remote Construction Research Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our construction estimators and product owners to research and analyze various building components across the United States and Canada. Leveraging the expertise of our innovative team and utilizing internet resources and direct communication, you will address a broad range of client inquiries and project requirements.


Your research will play a critical role in supporting our CoreLogic construction estimating tools, ultimately contributing to superior customer solutions and experiences.


Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of material and installation costs for residential, commercial, and agricultural construction projects.
  • Deliver comprehensive and well-documented responses to inquiries from both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Provide essential support to construction estimators on a variety of projects, including validating installation costs and investigating requirements for various construction elements.

Job Qualifications
  • Basic Knowledge of Residential Construction Techniques:
  • Understanding of foundational construction processes (framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, finishing).
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Experience with material selection and application in residential projects.
  • Commercial Application Experience (a plus):
  • Knowledge of commercial construction practices and project management.
  • Understanding of differences between residential and commercial standards and workflows.
  • Strong Collaborator:
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Detail-Oriented Analytical Skills:
  • Proficient in evaluating construction processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address construction challenges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel:
  • Experience in data analysis to track ongoing construction metrics and performance indicators.
  • Availability for Remote Work:
  • Must have reliable internet access for virtual meetings, project updates, and collaboration.
  • Flexibility to accommodate different time zones as necessary for project stakeholders.
  • Understanding Measurement Conversions:
  • Proficient in interpreting measurements and conversions for construction materials (e.g., square feet, square yards, board feet).
  • Ability to assess material quantities and dimensions.
  • Familiar with industry-standard tools and practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay updated with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Training and Development:
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance construction knowledge and skills.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on construction techniques and safety practices.
  • Technology Integration:
  • Utilize Construction Costs Estimating Software and stay informed about new technologies impacting the building industry.

Annual Pay Range

53,200 - 69,326 USD
