We are seeking a Data Quality Engineer with a strong background in data quality, data governance, and SQL, ideally within the banking industry. This role requires hands-on experience working with large enterprise-level data environments and a deep understanding of how data moves through complex systems. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to work directly with business stakeholders.
Ensure data quality and integrity across systems, processes, and reports.
Implement and maintain data quality frameworks, tools, and standards across the organization.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify, document, and resolve data issues.
Develop and run SQL queries to profile, analyze, and monitor data quality.
Support data governance initiatives, including data lineage, metadata management, and stewardship activities.
Provide insights on ETL processes and help ensure smooth and accurate data movement across platforms.
Communicate data issues and resolutions effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, and data management
Strong recent SQL skills (must be hands-on)
Extensive banking experience — deep understanding of how data flows within an enterprise-level banking organization
Familiarity with ETL processes and ability to understand data movement across systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Informatica DQ, Collibra, Talend)
Familiarity with regulatory data requirements in the banking sector
