Job summary

Our client is building a new Data Operations function to provide reliable, validated data across the firm for better decision-making and Responsible AI adoption. You will define and validate data, implement quality controls, and partner with teams to ensure data accuracy.

This is an early hire role with real ownership of how data quality is built from the ground up, including managing source-of-truth and data dictionaries. Collaboration across departments is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience with Power Query and Power Automate.
• SharePoint experience with metadata tagging.
• Experience building a data inventory or data glossary.
• SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with Claude or similar AI productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the data dictionary with definitions, calculations, data owners, and source-of-truth references.
• Develop and maintain data quality controls and checks.
• Investigate data quality exceptions, identify root causes, and coordinate fixes with owners.
• Reconcile data between systems and reports.
• Collaborate with business teams to validate data accuracy through review cycles.
• Maintain vendor register, contracts, and renewal calendar; review vendor clauses.
