Job summary

Bloomberg Data Quality Analytics in New York seeks a Product Analyst to own data quality for product development and enhancements. You will analyze large datasets, collaborate with Product, Engineering and Sales, and help shape the data offerings that power our enterprise data licenses.

The role requires 3+ years in analytics, a quantitative degree, and strong Python/SQL skills to turn complex data into actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics (data science, quantitative analysis, data visualization, data mining).
• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative discipline (Financial Engineering, Statistics, CS, Finance, Eng).
• Financial knowledge across asset classes (equities, fixed income, mortgages, munis, futures, options).
• Programming in Python and SQL.
• Attention to data integrity.
• Statistics and math for quantitative analysis.
• Experience gathering and preprocessing large varied datasets.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis on a large scale of datasets.
• Prepare exploratory data analyses with statistical and visual summaries.
• Communicate results to product managers and software developers.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Sales on delivery and roadmap.
• Answer client questions and address feedback in product enhancements/bug fixes.
• Conduct product usage analysis to improve data offerings.
• Contribute to scaling team activities through automation of monitoring production data.
