Welo Data in San Francisco, California, is seeking a Data Quality Analyst to audit and improve data labeling quality. The role bridges DLAs and Team Leads, ensuring guidelines are applied accurately in real-time AI workflows.

You will audit outputs, guide DLAs, and support onboarding and training, maintaining high standards in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. This is a full-time, onsite position with strong emphasis on data quality and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Native-level Portuguese (Portugal) with university degree.
• 2–4 years of experience in data annotation, content quality, QA, or related fields.
• Experience with AI/ML data workflows and human-in-the-loop evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Support quality and execution across DLA teams, ensuring standards at scale.
• Audit outputs and provide actionable feedback to improve accuracy.
• Act as first line of support for DLAs, interpreting guidelines.
• Help DLAs navigate evolving instructions with clarity.
• Onboard and train new DLAs through hands-on guidance.
• Monitor workflows and escalate risks to Team Leads.
• Identify patterns and edge cases in human and model outputs.
• Contribute to updating guidelines and team performance.
• Document findings in a clear, concise, and actionable way.
