Job summary

Axos Business Center is seeking a data test automation engineer to design, build, and maintain the data test automation framework used across EDW delivery teams. You will enable automated regression coverage and enforce quality gates within the CI/CD pipeline for Databricks, SQL Server, and Python ingestion workflows.

The role requires 4+ years in test automation or data engineering, strong Python and SQL, and hands-on experience with data testing frameworks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in test automation or data engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL; write production quality test code.
• Hands-on experience with a data testing framework (pytest/GE/dbt tests).
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD (Azure DevOps or equivalent).
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT patterns and data warehouse concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the data test automation framework across SQL Server, SSIS, Python ingestion and Databricks pipelines.
• Implement data quality CI/CD gates (accuracy, latency, performance, security) in automated checks.
• Build reusable regression suites and data validation checks (source-to-target reconciliation, schema/row checks, profiling).
• Integrate tests into Azure DevOps pipelines; own execution reporting and dashboards.
