Job summary

Middlebury College seeks a part-time, hourly coordinator for the Middlebury Initiative for Data and Digital Methods (midd.data). The role provides high-level support to the director and steering committee while ensuring compliance with college procedures.

The position emphasizes independent work, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, plus familiarity with Middlebury systems.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Prior experience with Middlebury systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of midd.data’s goals and objectives.
• Support and advise the midd.data director with operational, budgetary, organizational, projectmanagement, and technical expertise including College processes, policies & guidelines.
• Schedule meetings, including regular executive committee and steering committee meetings.
• Administrate processes central to midd.data’s academic mission including but not limited to course offerings including the Introduction to Data summer bridge course and Data Science Across Disciplines Winter term course.
• Collaborate in the planning and implementation of guest speakers and events.
• Collaborate in communications and outreach, including helping to update and managemidd.data’s web page, social media accounts, and newsletter.
• Ensure program stability and institutional knowledge through documentation and personal experience, especially during director transitions (every 3-6 years).
