Job summary

K&L Gates is seeking a Data Program Manager to oversee enterprise data initiatives, budgets, and roadmaps. The role collaborates with engineering, analytics, AI, and business teams to ensure on-time delivery and measurable value, reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Engineering.

Strong communication and self-starting capability are essential. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, governance, and the use of AI tools to enhance daily workflows while supporting the firm’s data

Qualifications

PM certification (PMP) required; Agile / PMI-ACP recommended.
Background in business, PM, communications or IT-related studies and work.
Experience translating business needs into program requirements and milestones.
Ability to learn new technologies and platforms with minimal guidance.
Willingness to travel up to 10% and maintain a secure workspace.
Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
Experience with Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery and AI tools.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain roadmap for enterprise data programs aligned to business priorities.
Lead end-to-end delivery including scope, timelines, risks and dependencies.
Manage program budgets, forecasts, and expenditures with transparent reporting.
Define KPIs and translate outcomes into executive business impact narratives.
Oversee program visibility in Azure DevOps with dashboards and boards.
Escalate and resolve blockers; manage cross-team dependencies.
Translate business needs into delivery milestones and governance artifacts.
Promote process, security, and knowledge-centered practices.
Define and oversee testing strategies at the program level.
Leverage AI tools (Copilot/Claude) to improve quality and efficiency.
Contribute to AI-driven solutions on the Microsoft platform stack.
Ensure compliance with AI governance and model deployment reviews.
