Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Data Program Engineer in Chicago to drive data-driven solutions and lead multiple data program executions. You will design data models, ETL pipelines, and data warehouse components using best practices, while coordinating with stakeholders to deliver on strategic technology goals.

The role requires experience with relational and NoSQL databases, ML/AI awareness, and strong architectural guidance for engineers in an agile environment. A bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree Required in Computer Science or related field; relevant experience acceptable.
Experience leading data program execution and driving transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of data security and PII management.

Responsibilities

Manage relationships with stakeholders and executive leadership to achieve outcomes.
Lead architecture discussions and guide engineers on technical patterns.
Define target state data architecture and roadmaps aligned to business goals.
Participate in Agile planning, documentation, testing and delivery of projects.
