Job summary

Northern Trust Corp is hiring a Data Analytics Engineer in Chicago, IL. Hybrid schedule with a focus on advanced data analytics, ML/AI, and GenAI to design data-driven financial solutions. You will manage stakeholder relationships, lead architecture discussions, and drive technology transformation across teams.

Required are a Computer Science degree and experience with relational/NoSQL stores, data security, and PII management. Strong collaboration in an agile environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and executives to drive outcomes.
  • Lead architecture design and tech roadmaps with cross-team alignment.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and guide engineers on patterns and best practices.
  • Lead proof-of-concept efforts to validate architecture feasibility.
  • Drive continuous technology transformation and reduce technical debt.
  • Collaborate with global teams on end-to-end data delivery and projects.

Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture.* Looks for opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterprise.* Participates in defining target state technology architecture and roadmaps. Ensures alignment of IT initiatives with the target state.* Contribute to a fast-paced Agile team and participate in multiple aspects of planning, documentation, execution, testing and launch of projects* Interface with global teams to collaborative work on business deliveries.* Strong grasp of value creation and business capability models for large scale technology platforms.**Experience :*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required.* Seasoned expert with technical and business knowledge and functional expertise that has been developed over several years.* Experience in systems analysis and application program development.* Experience with project feasibility, definition requirements, design and/or project leadership.* Experience with various technical programming languages, and phase report studies is required.Salary Range:$114,500 - 194,700 USD*Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
