Kapitus, Inc. is seeking a Data Product Manager to own data products through their full lifecycle, bridging business requirements, data engineering, governance, and customer-facing teams.

You will link requirements to platform architecture and drive value-focused outcomes across BI, APIs, ML, and AI channels. This product-focused role emphasizes architecture literacy over hands-on engineering, with a strong emphasis on business-domain expertise in lending/financing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data product management or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, CS, IS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in data work within small business lending, credit, payments, or related financial services.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into PRDs and specs.

Responsibilities

• Identify data problems worth solving and quantify impact before building.
• Define outcome-driven metrics and KPIs linked to business goals.
• Own usage reporting, scorecards, and value storytelling with stakeholders.
• Manage product retirement and decommission legacy workflows.
• Elicit requirements via interviews and mapping customer journeys.
• Translate requirements into data contracts and semantic definitions.
