Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Product Management & Governance to lead intake for product demand, define value, and prioritize initiatives aligned with strategy. You will own the data product roadmap from concept to retirement and translate objectives into delivery-ready requirements for cross-functional teams.

You will drive adoption of business definitions, domain taxonomies, and catalog content, partnering with Alation to enable a self-service data marketplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in business, information systems, data analytics, or related field.
• 8+ years in data governance, data/digital product management, or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience in regulated, global enterprise environments; MedTech/healthcare/pharma/life sciences/supply chain/quality/manufacturing preferred.
• Data-as-a-product expertise: glossaries, metadata, data catalog/marketplace, stewardship, data quality, access governance, lifecycle management.
• Ability to translate business needs into product requirements, executive narratives, measurable outcomes, and delivery priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured intake for product demand and prioritize based on strategic alignment, feasibility, risk, and business impact.
• Own business-facing roadmap for data products from concept to retirement.
• Translate objectives, backlog priorities, and release-ready requirements for delivery teams.
• Develop and drive adoption of business definitions, taxonomy, and product content for data discoverability.
• Partner with Alation and catalog teams to enable a consistent self-service data marketplace.
• Define data product ownership, stewardship roles, decision rights, and issue paths.
• Maintain business context, definitions, and lifecycle controls with domain leaders.
• Serve as primary business partner to data engineering and platform teams.
• Track adoption, usage, and business value; improve usability and reuse.
• Lead and mentor in data curation, stewardship, metadata enrichment, and marketplace operations.
