Job summary

Dynata is seeking a Data Product Engineer who owns the lifecycle of data products on a lakehouse platform, bridging business needs with technical teams to deliver trusted data products for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.

You will define roadmaps, gather requirements from stakeholders, and collaborate with data engineers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. You will establish KPIs, manage the data catalog, and lead sprint planning to enable self-service data across domains.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in a product management, data management, or analytics role
  • 3+ years managing data products in a modern data lakehouse or data warehouse environment
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data lineage, and metadata management
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and SQL proficiency
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with governance, infosec, and compliance teams to ensure product-level policies are enforced

Job description

The Data Product Engineer owns the lifecycle of data products built on the lakehouse platform. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with DataHub, Apache Atlas, or Alation for data cataloging
  • Knowledge of data mesh and domain-oriented data ownership models
  • Certifications: CDMP, PMP, or Agile Product Owner

The base salary range for this position in is $140K-$160K/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A discretionary incentive program may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits, dependent on full-time employment status.
