Job summary

SEIU 775 is seeking a Data Processor to manage membership, job, and financial data across databases by entering, reviewing, updating, and correcting records. You will support finance data processing, data imports, QA, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate member records and facilitate efficient workflows.

Responsibilities include handling membership forms, financial deductions, and file processing in UnionWare and Salesforce, with opportunities to contribute to data quality projects and process

  • Two (2) years of experience in data entry, records management, administrative support, customer service, or a related office environment.
  • Experience working with databases or information management systems.
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while working under deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Document Entry: Membership Forms, Beneficiary Forms, Legal Documents.
  • Process formal requests related to financial deductions and membership.
  • Process finance and membership files in UnionWare, Salesforce, and other databases, including member matching, job creation, demographic updates, and file import troubleshooting.
  • Run and monitor data import processes, troubleshoot script and data pipeline errors, and elevate technical issues as needed.
  • Check for quality assurance of audio membership forms.
  • Complete data quality projects, including de-duplication, demographic corrections, and review of card, employer, and work location data.
  • Scan, sort, and store documents.
  • Produce and mail copies of membership forms as requested.
  • Special Projects, typically in Excel and Salesforce.
  • Produce quick-reference guides and step-by-step process documentation.
  • Identify processes that can be made more efficient or friction points in user interfaces.

About This Role

The Data Processor maintains membership, job, and financial data across databases and other systems by entering, reviewing, updating, and correcting information. Prepares and processes source data by compiling, sorting, matching, and verifying records. Supports finance file processing, data imports, quality assurance, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate and timely member records.

  • Process finance and membership files in UnionWare, Salesforce, and other databases, including member matching, job creation, demographic updates, and file import troubleshooting
  • Run and monitor data import processes, troubleshoot script and data pipeline errors, and elevate technical issues as needed
  • Check for quality assurance of audio membership forms
  • Complete data quality projects, including de-duplication, demographic corrections, and review of card, employer, and work location data
  • Scan, sort, and store documents
  • Produce and mail copies of membership forms as requested. Sometimes requires CD Burning
  • Special Projects, typically in Excel and Salesforce
  • Produce quick-reference guides and step-by-step process documentation
  • Identify processes that can be made more efficient or friction points in user interfaces
  • May be required to do political work for candidates and member political education as part of job duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications: (Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job may be considered).

  • Experience working within a labor union, nonprofit organization, government agency, or membership-based organization.
  • Salesforce Experience or other databases.
  • Ability to work well and creatively under tight deadlines, in a team environment, preferred.

  • Primarily works in an office or hybrid office environment.
  • Regular use of computers and multiple software applications throughout the workday.

  • Fast-paced environment with competing priorities and established processing deadlines.
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak processing periods or special organizational initiatives.
  • May be required work outside of normal business hours to include weekends, evenings, holidays, etc.

Physical Working Conditions: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, requirements include:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting while performing computer-based work.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboard and mouse operation.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read computer screens and printed documents.
  • Occasionally lift and move office materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout the office to attend meetings and collaborate with staff.

Compensation:

Providing current or previous salary information is optional and will not be factored into hiring decisions. Prospective Employees covered by the CBA can request a copy of the wage scale, the CBA, and any current relevant MOUs upon application to the position.

This position is full-time, non-exempt. This position is included in the Bargaining Unit. Pay ranges from $27.29 – $35.61 per hour. Benefits include vacation, holiday, and sick leave benefits, fully employer paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance, defined benefit pension plan, and optional 401(k), WFH credit, pet insurance, and more.
