If you enjoy the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of Operations, FTB has an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a driven, energetic, and customer-focused individual with experience managing diverse Information Technology teams of dedicated technical professionals responsible for the ongoing support of FTB legacy and Enterprise Tax Systems (ETS) services, 24x7 batch operations, application monitoring, and Level 2 production support. Your teams also manage data received from external agencies and support enterprise noticing services. You will help position the Data Processing Services teams for continued success through technical leadership, direction, and oversight, with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service to our technical and business partners. Expect to partner with a passionate group of technical leaders specializing in operating FTB's critical Enterprise Tax System applications and services and their underlying infrastructure prioritizing incident and problem resolution. Your vision and strategic focus will help implement effective productivity measures and proactive workload, budget, and operational planning to support 24x7 data processing operations.

• Strategic and innovative thinker with a proven ability to adopt and deliver new technologies and processes with demonstrated results leading and motivating staff through changes
• 3+ years experience managing large teams of IT professionals in a 24x7 operations environment in a multi-tier support organization with a fast paced, high demand, environment while leading multiple priorities and workloads
• Experience developing and implementing standards, policies, best practices, and capturing metrics to measure success
• Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management principles and best practices, particularly Incident and Problem Management domains
• Experience establishing/maintaining strong relationships, and working collaboratively with executive, business, and technology partners to deliver IT strategies and services
• Demonstrated experience communicating complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders, business and technical partners, end users, peers, and vendors, especially in high-stakes major incident triage and resolution
• Strong decision maker with an enterprise perspective who can negotiate solutions and make concessions when needed for the benefit of the Division and Enterprise
• Demonstrated performance encouraging team cohesiveness, creating high job satisfaction, encouraging success, and fostering an inclusive work environment where diversity of thought is valued and encouraged
• Knowledge of the Department's IT services, systems, applications, infrastructure and database technologies
• Demonstrated knowledge of information security principles and best practices
