Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 law firm, seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity team. You will handle privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity matters arising in corporate and technology transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and capital markets.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school, active Bar in CA or TX, and 1–3 years of relevant experience. Strong drafting, communication, and client-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academics.
• Active Bar Admission in CA or TX in good standing.
• 1–3 years of privacy, data processing, cybersecurity, and transactional experience.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions and technology transactions.
• Prior advisory work for tech companies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise on privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity in transactions.
• Conduct diligence in corporate/tech deals.
• Draft and negotiate privacy provisions and agreements.
• Counsel on privacy compliance obligations and risk management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on domestic and cross-border matters.
