Our client, a prominent national law firm with a sophisticated technology and privacy practice, is seeking a mid-level associate with 4–6 years of law firm experience in cybersecurity and data privacy.
The position offers the opportunity to advise clients on complex privacy compliance, cybersecurity preparedness, data incidents and evolving regulatory requirements. The associate will work closely with partners and clients and take on meaningful responsibility across both counseling and incident-response matters.
The preferred offices are Chicago, Los Angeles, Milwaukee or San Diego, although other firm locations may be considered depending on the candidate's background and business needs.
The associate will advise clients across a range of privacy, cybersecurity and data governance matters, including:
Candidates should be comfortable navigating a rapidly evolving regulatory environment and helping clients translate legal requirements into practical compliance strategies.
Strong candidates will have familiarity with multiple U.S. and international privacy and data protection frameworks, which may include:

Experience advising clients on state privacy laws and broader federal and international privacy requirements is particularly valuable.
We are seeking an attorney who brings strong substantive privacy and cybersecurity experience together with excellent client-service skills. Qualifications include:
Candidates with a demonstrated interest or background in technology, software or technology licensing, cybersecurity, data governance, or professional services delivery are particularly attractive.
A CIPP certification or other relevant privacy/cybersecurity credential is also valued.
