Job summary

Leading Law Firm is seeking a Privacy, Cybersecurity, AI & Technology Transactions Associate with 3–6 years of active practice experience. The role involves advising clients on data privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, technology transactions, and IP licensing matters.

Responsibilities include incident response counseling, drafting and negotiating various agreements, and ensuring compliance with U.S. privacy laws.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission are required.
• 3–6 years of experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, AI, technology transactions, and/or IP licensing.
• CIPP/US certification is required.
• Experience with U.S. privacy laws and breach notification.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for technology and data agreements.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on data privacy, cybersecurity, AI, technology transactions, and IP licensing matters.
• Counsel on cybersecurity incident response and related privacy obligations.
• Draft and negotiate technology, licensing, privacy, data protection, AI governance, and other agreements and policies.
• Advise on U.S. privacy laws and regulatory requirements, including state privacy laws, GLBA, HIPAA, and COPPA.
• Support product counseling, AI deployment, digital marketing/adtech, and M&A privacy matters.
• Independently manage multiple matters and coordinate resources with attorneys and clients.
