Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Minneapolis, MN seeks an Associate or Counsel Attorney for its Data Privacy practice. You will advise public and private clients on data privacy and cybersecurity regulatory compliance, risk management, and emerging laws.

The role requires handling complex legal projects independently and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of legal experience, JD, and IAPP certifications.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of legal experience with at least 3 years in privacy, cybersecurity, or AI
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Experience with MS Word

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on compliance issues related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI laws.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits.
• Collaborate with teams on product and service development.
• Support clients in data breach responses.
• Draft and negotiate data-related agreements.
• Provide counsel on privacy in corporate transactions.
• Monitor and analyze emerging legislation and regulatory guidance.
• Prepare training materials and presentations on privacy best practices.
• Participate in business development and client relationship building.
• Mentor and supervise junior associates and legal staff.
