Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Data Privacy Associate to support its expanding privacy and security practice with a focus on helping clients navigate privacy, cybersecurity, AI, and data governance matters. The role involves transactional and regulatory work and is preferred for candidates in Spartanburg, SC or Charlotte, NC.

The candidate should have 2-4 years of relevant legal experience, JD from an accredited law school, and licensure in NC/SC/GA/DC with CIPP preferred.

Qualifications

2-4 years of relevant legal experience.
Interest or experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, or technology transactions.
Experience with commercial contracts and privacy compliance issues.
Ability to manage multiple matters in a collaborative environment.
Willingness to participate in business development activities.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate data privacy and security provisions in commercial agreements.
Work on vendor, SaaS, licensing, and other technology-related contracts.
Advise on privacy compliance and regulatory requirements.
Support the development of privacy programs and product-related initiatives.
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on transactional privacy matters.
Monitor developments in data privacy laws and regulations.
Assist with data breach response matters as needed.
