Ascent Global Logistics in Belleville, MI, seeks a Data Practice Manager to own our data function end to end, including the team, platforms, and roadmap. You will lead a team of DBAs, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers, drive the data warehouse, and own Master Data Management practices.

This leadership role stays hands-on when needed, partners with software development, and pushes AI tools into delivery. You will mentor staff, establish governance, and ensure reliable, customer-facing reporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data-related work (engineering, warehousing, analytics, or DBA roles).
• 3+ years managing teams and delivering projects.
• Experience with Azure, SQL, Snowflake, and SDLC practices.
• Experience leading Power BI and reporting initiatives; Master Data Management and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the data practice — team, standards, and roadmap.
• Manage a team of DBAs, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers.
• Partner with internal software development teams.
• Lead delivery of the major data warehouse project from build to rollout.
• Serve as escalation point for complex data, reporting, and database issues.
• Lead data source integration, Snowflake modeling, SDLC standards, and quality practices.
• Lead SSRS-to Power BI modernization and reporting governance.
• Ensure customer-facing reporting and data workflows are reliable and accurate.
