Job summary

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is seeking a Senior Data Portfolio Manager to oversee data across the Foundation’s funded research portfolio.

You will coordinate data scoping, standardization, quality control, and submission from generation to distribution, working with internal teams and external grantees to guide data collection, documentation, and reuse. Ideal candidates will have experience in data management and analytics, a passion for open science and bioinformatics, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Experience in data management, analytics, data science or related field (neuroscience preferred).
• Interest in open science and bioinformatics.
• Action‑oriented, diplomatic, agile, and team‑advocate with multi‑year priorities.
• Understanding of data product design and software development lifecycles.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across multiple formats.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data management across a portfolio of funded studies, including scoping, standardization, quality control and submission.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify data needs and ensure alignment with timelines.
• Support data platforms and pipelines for efficient ingestion, organization and sharing of data.
• Foster cross‑team collaboration to maintain consistent data practices and smooth handoffs.
• Develop and maintain data standards, submission guidelines, and workflows for consistency and scalability.
• Ensure grantees prepare and submit data per Foundation governance and best practices.
• Track data deliverables, timelines and risks with clear stakeholder updates.
