Job summary

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research invites a VP, Head of Business Management (Research Programs & Partnerships) to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and oversee portfolio governance, performance reporting, and resource management across RPP.

Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the role partners with senior leaders to align unit plans with enterprise goals, build a team, and drive transparent decision-making, capacity planning, and funding decisions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business management, strategic planning, budget management, and project management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with nonprofit or research organizations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual planning processes with cross-functional teams to align priorities and budgets.
• Maintain portfolio visibility across initiatives and risks to inform decisions.
• Develop business cases for new initiatives and monitor OKRs and KPIs.
• Oversee capacity planning, staffing, and resource allocation for the RPP unit.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and research leaders to optimize funding decisions.
• Build and lead a high-performing, accountable team.
