Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks a Data Platform Administrator in Charlotte, NC for a hybrid role. You will install, configure, and maintain analytics platforms such as Tableau, Sigma, Alteryx, Alation, DBT, Palantir, and Snowflake to enable secure data access for analysts and business users.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform health checks, optimize performance, implement security, and create documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years administering analytics platforms such as Tableau, Sigma, Alteryx, and Alation.
• 5+ years of systems administration experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and workflow automation.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Administer Tableau, Sigma, Alteryx, Alation, DBT, Palantir, and Snowflake, including user management, permissions, and security.
• Install, upgrade, and configure software and applications, ensuring compatibility with infrastructure and data sources.
• Monitor performance, conduct health checks, and optimize resources for reliable operations.
• Provide technical support for connectivity, data access, and platform functionality.
• Manage data integrations across databases, cloud storage, and APIs to ensure seamless data flow and integrity.
• Implement security protocols, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with data analysts, business users, and IT teams to meet requirements.
• Provide training and enablement for new users and promote best practices.
• Stay current with platform updates, features, and industry trends.

Our client seeks a Data Platform Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and support data analytics and business intelligence platforms including Tableau, Sigma, Alteryx, Alation, DBT, Palantir, and Snowflake. The role will ensure performance, security, availability, and effective access for business users and analysts to analyze and visualize organizational data. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and occasional work outside standard hours for upgrades and critical issues.

Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years administering analytics platforms such as Tableau, Sigma, Alteryx, and Alation.
• 5+ years of systems administration experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and workflow automation.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL, including connectivity.
• Familiarity with information security and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of network protocols, security, and authentication such as Active Directory and SAML.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and work independently or in a team environment.
• Preferred: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Preferred: Knowledge of API integration and custom connector development.
• Preferred: Certifications in Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, or Sigma.
• Preferred: Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise data environments.
