  • Lead elicitation of requirements, in the form of user stories & acceptance criteria, prioritizing the product backlog to streamline execution of key platform improvements
  • Partner closely with Data Engineering and Platform teams to drive stability, scale, and usability across core tooling
  • Execute the product strategy and roadmap for Databricks and Airflow (Astronomer), ensuring our platform remains efficient, well-governed, and developer-friendly
  • Influence adoption of best practices across orchestration (Airflow), compute and processing (Databricks), and job development (Python, SQL, dbt)
  • Support integration and rollout of observability and governance tooling including Monte Carlo, Satori, Hightouch, and Kafka
  • Create and maintain documentation, including platform usage guidelines, onboarding materials, and operational support documentation
  • Act as a bridge between engineering and internal users to shape a platform that balances enterprise controls with a seamless developer experience
  • Share best practices within the Product community and foster a culture of technical curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement

THE STATS

What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 3-6 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Technical Product Manager working in data infrastructure, data engineering, or platform product roles
  • Proven experience (2+ years) managing products or platforms built on Databricks, Airflow (preferably via Astronomer), or similar orchestration and compute tools
  • Familiarity with Python and SQL, particularly in the context of data engineering workflows and developer productivity
  • Bonus points for experience with dbt, Monte Carlo, Hightouch, Satori, or Confluent/Kafka
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and can bring clarity to ambiguity
