BCBSRI is seeking a senior data platform leader to oversee enterprise database operations across SQL Server, Azure, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Oracle. You will drive reliability, security, and governance for multi-engine environments and partner with security, analytics, and application teams.

You will mentor DBAs and engineers, manage access controls and DR readiness, and guide platform modernization and cost optimization across on‑premises and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 5-7 years of database administration and data platform operations.
• 3-5 years leading teams and managing operational priorities.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Platform Operations team for database and cloud platforms.
• Oversee day-to-day operational coverage for multiple DB engines.
• Manage access governance, reviews, and least-privilege controls.
• Coordinate platform modernization and performance optimization.
• Ensure security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.
