Job summary

CHANEL is hiring a Manager, Data Platform Engineer - Microsoft Fabric in New York City. You will lead end-to-end data products on Fabric/FDP, from ingestion to curated layers, partnering with governance, BI, and delivery teams.

The role demands hands-on Fabric implementation experience, strong data engineering fundamentals, and a drive to build reliable, observable data solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on data engineering or data platform engineering experience.
• Production delivery on modern cloud data platforms with Microsoft Fabric experience.
• Ability to engineer reliable, observable, and well-documented data solutions.
• Strong collaboration with Architects, Governance, and Delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support Microsoft Fabric data products and pipelines across ingestion, transformation, lakehouse, warehouse, and curated layers.
• Engineer scalable Fabric data products using OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Fabric components.
• Create restartable, idempotent pipelines with schema evolution and robust error handling.
• Embed data quality controls, lineage, monitoring, and runbooks into data products.
• Diagnose failures across source, Fabric processing, and downstream layers; route remediation.
• Apply DataOps, code review, and CI/CD across release management and access controls.
• Maintain source-to-target mappings, security requirements, and runbooks for lifecycle handoff.
