Job summary

Chanel, Inc. in New York City seeks a Manager, Data Platform Engineer to build trusted data products on Microsoft Fabric/FDP. You will own ingestion through curated layers, ensuring reliability, observability, and governance across BI and analytics workloads.

The role requires hands-on Fabric implementation, DataOps practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. NYC on-site 3 days/week with potential limited travel.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric implementation experience across multiple Fabric components.
• Experience designing medallion layers and data flows with incremental ingestion.
• Strong testing, monitoring, lineage, and data-quality controls.
• Experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD, and release management.
• An understanding of Purview, metadata, security, privacy, and governance controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support Microsoft Fabric data products and pipelines.
• Implement restartable, idempotent ingestion and transformation pipelines with schema evolution.
• Embed data quality, lineage, monitoring, and alerting into data products.
• Collaborate with architects, governance, and delivery teams to ensure production readiness.
• Deliver curated data products for BI/Analytics and manage change impacts.
