Job summary

Milan Laser Hair Removal is hiring a Data Platform Manager to lead architecture, roadmap, and delivery of the Snowflake data platform, including the data lakehouse, identity resolution, and foundational datasets. You will stay hands-on with data engineering while guiding standards and patterns across the team.

You’ll coach engineers, translate business priorities into platform capabilities, and partner with BI and analytics leaders to enable BI, data science, and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience building ETL/ELT systems and data pipelines in a data warehouse or lakehouse environment.
• Five years of SQL experience.
• Three years of Python or other scripting language experience.
• Two years of experience directly managing, leading, or mentoring data engineers or similar technical staff.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing lakehouse or medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) data architecture.
• Understanding of how to leverage data platforms to efficiently and cost-effectively collect, store, and use data.
• Collaborative, team-first mentality with the ability to effectively communicate technical direction and trade-offs to both business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Technical Strategy: Inform the technical architecture and drive the roadmap for Milan's Snowflake data platform and medallion lakehouse.
• Team Leadership & People Management: Hire, coach, and manage data engineers and staff on the platform team.
• Delivery & Prioritization: Prioritize and manage delivery of platform initiatives and data pipelines.
• Hands-On Engineering: Contribute to design and development of complex data pipelines and platform components.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Align platform capabilities with reporting, analytics, and activation needs.
