Job summary

Seer Interactive is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability. You’ll modularize the data platform with Terraform/OpenTofu and automate client onboarding workflows.

You'll work with GCP/AWS, Python or TypeScript, and SQL to build reliable, scalable data products. This remote-first role offers continental US hours and a Philadelphia HQ option.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience writing and modularizing infrastructure as code with Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Deep familiarity with GitHub, PRs, code review, and GitHub Actions workflows.
• Production infra experience on GCP or AWS.
• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript.
• Experience designing alerting/monitoring and owning a system when it fails.
• Strong SQL knowledge and relational databases.
• Comfortable owning infra and driving it end-to-end.
• Defines KPIs, sets and follows through on process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own and modularize the data platform infrastructure in Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Build and maintain cloud services behind data products, balancing cost and reliability.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and code quality gates.
• Develop alerting/monitoring, define KPIs, and own platform health.
• Collaborate with data engineering leads to shape platform roadmap.
• Integrate AI-assisted coding workflows and maintain production systems.
