Job summary

Qualified, now part of Salesforce, is seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer to own end-to-end data systems including models, pipelines, and data APIs. You will shape core pipelines, data models, and data flows powering analytics and AI agents across major enterprises.

You will define data contracts, SLOs, and observability, mentoring teammates while partnering with product teams to elevate data as a platform capability from day one.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating production data systems at scale.
• Experience with data pipelines and data models for large enterprises.
• Familiarity with OLAP systems and event streaming.
• Ability to define data quality, contracts, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship data systems end-to-end: models, pipelines, sync, serving layers.
• Drive design for high-volume, multi-component systems (ETL, event streaming, analytics stores, APIs).
• Own Salesforce data flows at enterprise scale.
• Build analytics and insights infrastructure for reporting and decision-making.
• Define data quality standards, SLOs, and observability tooling.
• Lead delivery from scope/design through launch and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product teams and engineering leadership to make data a platform capability.
• Mentor team members and improve standards and tooling.
