Job summary

Profound is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to own and scale our data platform. You will maintain and optimize pipelines, design ingestion processes, and support data needs across product, data science, and go-to-market teams.

This role involves building reliable data infrastructure with Snowflake/ClickHouse, dbt, and Dagster, plus on-call responsiveness and collaboration with cross-functional teams. On-site in NYC, competitive compensation and equity are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining production data pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and orchestration tools (Dagster/Airflow/Prefect).
• Experience with AWS and modern data warehouses (Snowflake/ClickHouse).
• Ability to own data quality, monitoring, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve data pipelines for reliable ingestion to delivery.
• Optimize performance and costs across Snowflake, ClickHouse, AWS, dbt, and Dagster.
• Own data quality with monitoring, alerting, and validation.
• Manage and extend data infra including orchestration and CI/CD for data workflows.
• Support MLOps as models are developed and productionized.
