Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking a Software Engineer II to expand the data platform that supports CoStar Suite, LoopNet and Homes.com. You will work on distributed, API-driven systems and contribute to architectural decisions on a platform used by thousands of users.

Strong React and .NET experience, plus SQL and cloud skills, are essential. Responsibilities include designing robust services, code reviews, and adopting new technologies to drive innovation on the data automation team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited in-person university.
• 4+ years of React JS and JavaScript experience.
• 4+ years of C#, .NET Framework & Web API 2.0 development.
• 3+ years of MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL/T-SQL performance tuning.
• Experience architecting large-scale distributed services in Agile teams.
• Understanding of AI technologies and hands-on tooling (Claude, Copilot, etc.).
• Data modeling experience and track record with prior employers.

Responsibilities

• Build big, distributed, API-driven systems for tens of thousands of users.
• Produce robust, efficient, and maintainable code using React JS, C#, .NET, AWS, SQL Server.
• Lead software design, development standards, and code reviews.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen the platform and practices.
