Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking a Software Engineer on the Data Automation team to help expand the data platform that supports CoStar’s largest brands, including CoStar Suite, LoopNet, and Homes.com. You will build scalable, API‑driven systems and contribute to design decisions.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in React JS and C#, strong SQL experience, and a background in distributed services within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
• 4+ years of experience with React JS and JavaScript.
• 4+ years of experience with C# and .NET Framework & Web API 2.0 development.
• 3+ years of experience with MS SQL Server or database design in T-SQL or PostgreSQL (programming/performance tuning).
• Experience architecting, designing, and building large-scale, distributed, services-oriented systems in an agile environment.
• Understanding of AI technologies and hands-on experience with AI tooling such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, or Grok.
• Data modeling experience.
• Commitment to prior employers.

As a Software Engineer on the Data Automation team, you will play a key role in expanding the data platform that supports CoStar’s largest brands, including CoStar Suite, LoopNet, and Homes.com.

• Experience implementing LLM technologies into production systems (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, etc.).

Compensation

Base compensation: $108,000 - $140,000 annually, based on geography, skills, and competencies.
