Choice Hotels International, Inc. invites applications for a Software Engineer 1 - Data Team in the SkyTouch Technology division. You will help shape scalable data architectures and deliver trusted data to enable rapid innovation across the enterprise.

This role is hybrid with four days onsite at the North Scottsdale office. Sponsorship is not available for this position, and you will collaborate with data platform teams to implement analytics, ETL/ELT, and modeling best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience with AWS/GCP/Azure data lake technologies.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, Java, Web Services and scripting languages.
• Hands-on data technologies: analytics, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with BI applications and data warehouses.
• Experience with Git and collaboration tools (Atlassian).
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Hands on software development focused on analyzing business and technical problems.
• Design, develop, test and deploy software in collaboration with Product and AIDLC teams.
• Adhere to best practices for technical excellence, resilience, quality, and performance.
• Create robust, reusable software components and interfaces during specification.
• Collaborate across teams to identify dependencies and facilitate changes.
