Job summary

Qonto is hiring a Data Engineer to build and maintain data solutions that serve hundreds of thousands of customers across Europe. You will own data ingestion, production exposure via Trino and Metabase, and automation of data pipelines.

You will work with a mature cloud-native stack and a team of senior engineers, enjoying high autonomy and opportunities to shape the data platform. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Data or Software Engineering, shipping and operating data pipelines in production.
• Strong in Python with understanding of data infrastructure and warehousing components.
• Experience with open-source data tools (Airflow, Snowflake, Kubernetes, AWS) and Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end data solutions from ingestion to production using Snowflake, Trino, and Metabase.
• Make self-service data access available by building reusable, documented blocks.
• Act as the interface for data consumers during inquiries and platform changes.
• Define data contracts, tests and SLAs; investigate pipeline incidents to root cause.
• Operate and maintain the open-source Data Platform stack (Trino, Metabase, Airflow, OpenMetadata).
