Job summary

Comcast Advertising is seeking a data platforms engineer to join a team that builds scalable data platforms on Unix with SQL Server and Oracle databases. You will develop Tableau reports, perform data ingestion with Informatica, and work on large datasets (10 TB+), building Teradata-based data warehouses and cloud storage with Hadoop and Spark.

The role offers the ability to work remotely part-time per policy; collaboration on several platforms and observability initiatives will be part of daily

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience building data pipelines on Unix-based systems.
Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Experience creating Tableau reports.
Familiarity with Informatica, Teradata, Hadoop, and Spark.

Responsibilities

Contribute to a team developing data platforms software on Unix using SQL Server and Oracle.
Develop reports using Tableau and perform data ingesting with Informatica.
Handle large datasets (≥10 TB) and build data warehouse apps with Teradata.
Manage data storage with Hadoop/Spark and create observability dashboards and SLOs.
