Rowan Digital Infrastructure in Denver seeks a Data Engineer, Operations Analytics to build the data platform, pipelines, and quality controls that make the team’s data reliable. The role partners with the Data Scientist, IT, vendor partners, Operations, and Compliance, reporting to the Director, Operations Analytics.

This role supports AI/LLM initiatives, governance, and audit readiness, with travel up to 25% and a 3-day in-office hybrid schedule in Denver.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Experience with Databricks, SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and related data/storage concepts.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data quality monitoring, and change control.
• Experience with time-series or telemetry data.
• Ability to document standards and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience building data pipelines for AI and LLM applications.

Aufgaben

• Build and evolve the data platform on Azure and Databricks, including ingestion, storage, and curated layers.
• Govern the workspace through Unity Catalog with permissions, lineage, and data classification.
• Own ingestion into Databricks from vendor/IT handoff and review upstream data assets.
• Design, build, test, and monitor production pipelines for power, cooling, equipment, and monitoring data.
• Define and maintain a reference data standard and data dictionary for sites, assets, and vendors.
• Build data quality checks, monitoring, alerts, and runbooks for rapid issue resolution.
• Publish and maintain curated tables for models, Tableau scorecards, and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Data Scientist to build Genie spaces and LLM-powered tools.
• Prepare data for AI/LLM use cases, including vector search indexes and retrieval pipelines.
• Serve as second owner of Databricks workspace and co-own change control with Data Scientist.
• Align data structures with modeling, reporting, and operational needs; support audits.
• Create repeatable exports of platform evidence for audits and compliance.
