Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Software Engineer III (Senior Data Platform Engineer) to design, build, and operate enterprise data platforms on Azure and Azure Databricks. This role emphasizes modernization, security, reliability, automation, observability, and cost optimization across cloud environments.

The position supports a hybrid schedule with three in-person days at the Salisbury, NC office and two remote days, requiring full-time authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and support Azure infrastructure and data-platform services, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, and related services.
• Engineer and troubleshoot Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, Private Link, DNS, routing, and secure connectivity.
• Administer and deploy Azure Databricks environments, including Unity Catalog, compute, storage integration, and IAM.
• Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Azure Bicep to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Implement DevSecOps and CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps, including automated deployments and security controls.
• Establish monitoring and observability across Azure and Databricks using Azure Monitor and Datadog with proactive alerting.
• Drive platform reliability through incident management, capacity management, and cost-optimization across Azure and Databricks.
