Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer – Data Platform to design and operate large-scale data pipelines and APIs powering PhareOS analytics and AI features.

You will drive reliable data foundations for internal models and customer‑facing products, ensuring observability and secure data handling. You will collaborate with AI/ML and product teams to build scalable data infrastructure, drive reliability, and own production systems end‑to‑end in a fast‑paced environment at

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, incl. 2+ years with high-throughput data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Scala and SQL, with production data platforms.
• Experience building microservices, APIs, and ETL pipelines in Python/Java/Go.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Spark, Airflow, Kafka.
• Experience with infrastructure and containerization such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience operating production systems and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Designing and operating large-scale data pipelines, backend services, and APIs that support AI-powered healthcare applications.
• Building highly scalable data infrastructure using modern data engineering technologies, streaming platforms, and cloud-native architectures.
