Lilly, headquartered in Indianapolis, seeks a Data & Platform Architect to shape platform strategy and AI-driven automation across contract management and rebate programs.
You will partner with IntegriChain and Lilly teams to define roadmaps, ensure SOX compliance, and guide cloud-native architecture across AWS, delivering scalable, secure solutions that support patient access.
At Lilly, the work is demanding because patients are waiting. We unite caring with discovery to help make life better for people around the world, knowing that every decision, every detail, and every day matters. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, our over 50,000 employees around the globe take on complex challenges to discover and deliver life-changing medicines, strengthen how health is understood and managed, and support the communities we serve. This is hard, urgent, selfless work—but it’s work worth doing. If you’re driven by purpose and ready to bring your best to work that truly matters for patients, we invite you to join us.
Come join Lilly where innovative technology meets purpose-driven medicine. This role sits at the center of our platform strategy, AI innovation, and the partnerships that shape how we run the full lifecycle of payer contracts, government pricing, and rebate programs for a growing portfolio of medicines.
We are seeking a Data & Platform Architect who brings the technical depth to shape the strategic direction and evolution of a complex cloud platform, along with the eye for business to align that platform with the strategy it enables across Lilly and with our primary partner, IntegriChain. This person will shape the platform roadmap, champion AI-driven automation, and translate the complexity of pharma payer contract management into scalable, intelligent solutions.
As Lilly purposefully expands its use of AI and automation to handle growing contract volumes across chargebacks, government pricing, Medicare, and utilization-based rebates, this role will be instrumental in defining where and how AI fits into the LVA operational model and holding vendors and internal teams accountable to that vision.
This role is well suited for a technically strong, self-directed professional who is curious, takes initiative, and is eager to grow by learning the business deeply on the job. Candidates with a consulting approach and a passion for IT, AI, and platform strategy will be especially well positioned to succeed in this opportunity.
This role reports to the Director of Contract Management and Analytics and works in close partnership with key business and IT leaders across the LVA organization, including the Senior Architect. Day-to-day collaboration spans LVA business collaborators, data engineering, product management, and the broader Tech at Lilly enterprise architecture community, as well as Lilly’s primary SaaS partner, IntegriChain.
The candidates who will thrive in this role are not just architects—they are strategic influencers. You bring a point of view on where AI can transform payer contract operations, and you can make that case convincingly to business leaders and technology vendors alike. You are comfortable working in ambiguity, able to balance long‑term vision with near‑term execution, and energized by the pace and complexity of a dynamic environment where intelligent technology is modernizing regulated business processes.
This role requires a passion for modern cloud architecture, AI/automation innovation, and delivering high‑quality solutions in a complex environment where your work directly supports patient access to life‑changing medicines.
