Job summary

Adeia is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead the data and analytics platform, shaping a multi-year roadmap and setting enterprise standards. You will own the architecture, governance, and scalable data capabilities across the company, mentoring engineers and collaborating with stakeholders.

The role focuses on data pipelines, analytics, and AI readiness, with a strong emphasis on building a trustworthy, scalable data foundation and cross-functional impact across Adeia's technology stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience building and operating production data pipelines, dimensional data models, and cloud data warehouse platforms.
• Deep experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, SQL, and Python.
• Experience delivering analytics and business intelligence solutions using governed data.
• Experience defining technical direction and partnering with business stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring engineers and increasing technical capability.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for data at Adeia with a multi-year architecture and roadmap.
• Own the data platform end-to-end, including pipeline architecture and Snowflake.
• Build and operate data pipelines from SaaS systems like Salesforce and NetSuite.
• Own analytics and BI delivery with dashboards and self-service analytics.
• Define standards for data modeling, pipelines, quality, and lineage.
