Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Data Engineer/Analyst to collaborate with Government clients, data scientists, and software engineers. You will develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and database structures that support IRS compliance activities.

You will ensure data quality, prepare data for reporting and ML, and help deploy analytical models within agency functions. Remote work in a professional environment is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of data engineering, database management, and analytics experience.
• Experience designing data processing solutions with relational or unstructured data.
• Experience with SQL and query optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (Spark/Hadoop) preferred.
• Familiarity with statistical languages (SAS/R/Stata) is helpful but not required.
• Proficiency in at least one OO language (Python/Java/Scala).
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Government clients to understand needs and define data objectives.
• Design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and database structures.
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis for reporting and ML.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build scalable data solutions.
• Develop and maintain models and views for data access and visualization.
