Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Data Engineer/Analyst to collaborate with government clients, data scientists, and software engineers to develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and database structures that support IRS compliance activities.

The role focuses on identifying data sources, enhancing data quality, and creating scalable solutions to extract insights on payment collections and taxpayer behaviors, ensuring analytical models are validated for deployment within agency functions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, CS or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in data engineering, DB management, and analytics.
• Experience designing data processing solutions with relational or unstructured data.
• Proficiency with SQL and query optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with distributed processing frameworks like Spark or Hadoop preferred.
• Knowledge of SAS, R, or Stata is helpful but not required.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Must obtain Public Trust Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Background check may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with government clients to define data engineering objectives.
• Design and implement pipelines, ETL processes, and databases to automate analysis.
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis for reporting and ML.
• Work with data scientists and software engineers to build scalable data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain models and views for data access and visualization.
• Optimize storage, indexing, and query performance for efficient decisions.
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders with varied backgrounds.
• Own tasks and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
