Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Data Management Strategy & Governance Senior Advisor in the United States (CT area) to design and deliver trusted, reusable data products through MVP while aligning with enterprise Silver/Gold data models. You will collaborate across Data Architecture, Data Analysis, and Platform teams to ensure scalable, production-grade data solutions.

This role blends business fluency with hands-on data engineering, focusing on governance, AI-enabled automation, and end-to-end

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production-grade data solutions.
• 50/50 blend of business fluency and hands-on engineering discipline.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, Unity Catalog, SQL, and Python.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and Teradata.
• Knowledge of dimensional and medallion (Silver/Gold) modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated code evaluation.
• Familiarity with data governance and cataloging tools such as Collibra.
• Ability to learn new data domain quickly and turn business logic into reusable data products.
• Ability to apply AI and automation while preserving governance, quality, and security.

Responsibilities

• Build architecture designs and analysis requirements into production-ready solutions through MVP.
• Turn new data into working solutions that answer the business question.
• Refactor learning-stage work into durable, production-ready assets.
• Build Silver structures per enterprise Silver model design.
• Promote designs to production via governed CI/CD pipelines.
• Capture business context and metadata at build for handoff to partner teams.
• Deliver Gold assets through MVP and governance-aligned promotion.
• Uphold build standards and guardrails for a federated Gold layer.
