Qualifications

  • 4–6 years with Enterprise Job Scheduling/Orchestration (ActiveBatch, Control-M, Autosys)
  • 4–6 years collaborating with cross‑functional teams and managing large budgets
  • Extensive experience in data operations including data pipelines and integration
  • Advanced knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), warehousing, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Expertise in ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi) and data governance, security, and compliance
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, SQL, Bash) to streamline operations
  • Proven ability to lead complex data operations projects and mentor teammates
  • Strong communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills to optimize performance of data operations

Responsibilities

  • Maintain IT risk, incident and change controls with proper documentation in tickets

Job Description Job Summary

This position is hybrid and will be required to be in office two times per month for collaboration working sessions.

The Data Operations Administrator III delivers high availability enterprise job scheduling solutions by proactively monitoring and administering scheduling platforms to ensure consistent system performance. Maintains operational stability through timely resolution of planned and unplanned job failures and partnership with cross-functional technical teams. Enhances scheduling reliability by applying technical expertise, optimizing processes, and supporting operational objectives.

Job Duties
  • Design, implement, and maintain the enterprise job scheduling environment to support multiple applications and ensure high system availability.
  • Monitor scheduling workflows, diagnose failures, and resolve incidents by partnering with users, internal teams, and vendors to identify root causes and restore functionality.
  • Administer job scheduling tools and follow standardized procedures—ensuring adherence to project methodologies, operational processes, and service-level commitments.
  • Manage file transfer and encryption processes, including troubleshooting and validating file movement across systems.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, providing after-hours support to meet operational availability requirements and quickly address system failures.
  • Perform data-related ad hoc tasks such as research, file manipulation, and process review to support business needs.
  • Collaborate with application developers, operations, and project managers to build scalable, maintainable scheduling solutions and continuously improve performance.
  • Maintain compliance with IT Risk, Incident, Problem, and Change Management controls and ensure consistent documentation and tracking through the ticketing system.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or educational experience in related field preferred, or relevant work experience.
  • 4-6 years experience with Enterprise Job Scheduling/Orchestration solutions, such as ActiveBatch, Control-M, Autosys, etc.
  • 4-6 years of experience working with cross-functional teams and managing large-scale project budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Extensive experience in data operations management, including data pipeline design, data integration, and managing large-scale data environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL), data warehousing solutions, and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expertise in ETL tools and platforms (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Apache Nifi) and experience optimizing their use for large-scale data workflows.
  • Strong experience with data governance, data security, and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Bash) to streamline data operations and improve efficiency.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex data operations projects, working collaboratively with technical teams and business units to achieve objectives.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex data-related issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Strong leadership abilities, including mentoring and guiding junior staff and fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess system performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize data operations.

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons. The pay range for this role is $81,800.00 - $112,550.00 annually.
