Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, statistics, or related field.
• 3+ years of overall experience with 2+ years delivering production data models.
• Demonstrated, hands-on data modeling experience—dimensional modeling (star/snowflake) and semantic layers.
• Ability to learn business context and translate it into accurate models.
• Experience with medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) and analytics-ready models.
• Proficiency with AWS, SQL, Python, PySpark, Airflow, and Spark.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dimensional data models on top of the gold layer within an AWS medallion architecture.
• Build reporting and data aggregation logic for multi-dimensional analysis across functions.
• Develop and maintain API-based data retrieval to bring in data into analytics layer.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reusable models.
• Leverage AI coding assistants (ChatGPT, Codex, Claude in AWS) to speed modeling and validation.
• Document data models, definitions, and logic for cross-team maintainability.
