Required Skills:

84 months experience developing logical and physical relational data models for OLTP databases.
60 months experience using Erwin OR Toad Data Modeler to create and maintain logical and physical data models.
84 months experience in complex PL/SQL, T-SQL, and SQL development against SQL Server.
60 months experience identifying and troubleshooting data quality issues.
12 months experience developing and managing ELT/ETL processes.

Description:

The Department of Public Services requires assistance with the implementation of new and existing .Net applications including but not limited to Utility Assessment Project, 753 Project, Pipeline Audit Safety (PAS), Water Master (WMast), Document and Matter Management (DMM), Power To Choose (PTC), Regulatory Calculator, and other systems.

The department has identified a list of new initiatives and enhancements to improve system efficiency related to their business processes, which require a contractor’s assistance.

Working as part of a Business Solutions environment, the position will be responsible for developing and maintaining data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data migration processes, as well as PL/SQL, T-SQL, and SQL scripts. The resource will review business requirements, analyze and profile source data, maintain scripts in source control, optimize scripts, troubleshoot data quality issues, prepare source-to-target mapping documents, and execute data manipulation language (DML) scripts. These duties will be performed on both cloud-based and on-premises databases.

The consultants will serve as Data Modelers and developers in the .Net Developer Team implementing:

Responsibilities:

Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term data models.
Creating conceptual data models and data flows with the development team.
Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency.
Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
Evaluating data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.
Generating and publishing data definition language (DDL) from physical data models to Oracle and SQL Server.
Designing and developing ELT/ETL processes for data migration.
Developing and executing complex queries and procedures using T-SQL and SQL.
Managing scripts and code in source control repositories.
Documenting data models, data migration, and data quality solutions.
Providing knowledge transfer to team members.
Assisting in development of software/hardware requirements for Development, UAT, and Production environments.
